Transition to Trash & Recycling Totes
Modern Disposal has mandated that all Charlesgate Village residents use the designated tote containers provided by Modern Disposal from the options below for both trash and recycling collection beginning in August.
Each unit will receive one (1) designated trash tote and one (1) designated recycling tote supplied by Modern Disposal. Personal trash and recycling containers may no longer be used after August 5, 2026.
Modern Disposal will conduct a special pickup to remove residents’ old trash and recycling containers.
Important Information
- Trash will be collected once per week.
- Recycling will be collected every other week.
- Only one (1) trash tote and one (1) recycling tote are permitted per unit.
- No plastic garbage bags or lawn bags will be collected.
- All yard debris must be placed inside the trash tote.
- All totes must be stored out of sight, either in the garbage corrals, garages, or patios.
- All totes remain with the property if you move.
- Modern Disposal will charge a $75 fee to swap a tote after May 31, 2026.
- The 65-gallon totes barely fit in the garbage corrals.
- The 95-gallon totes are not an option for units without garages.
